Reframing (3Ps)

Framing refers to the way we put things together into different contexts to give them different meanings, i.e. to create a frame of reference for our behaviour. Sometimes if a frame (or focus) is too narrow it can constrain behaviour and give rise to limiting beliefs.

Reframing is the process of changing or expanding frames to prevent repeating patterns of limited behaviour and opening up other opportunities and possibilities.

Watch the short video that explains a simple reframing technique called 3Ps then download the document to read about the different types of frame, and how these are relevant to leaders in the context of school self-evaluation.
